Acorn 1: This Acorn carvings was done in Butternut and is 6 inches long and has a 4 inch diameter carved cap. The cap includes the bark textured stem and triangular shingles distinctive to an acorn’s cap. The cap is stained dark brown for color contrast and the piece is finished with clear gloss polyurethane. The Acorn has traditionally represented friendship and the beginning of life.  Price: $415.  The Base is made from Paduk wood with clear gloss finish to hold the Acorn at an angle on a table.
