Jims Pole: This scene was carved from a pine log. It contains an Eagle with a fish in its talons; a Bear with the same fish in its mouth; a Loon nestled in a nook in a slate tower; and a weasel looking at the loon in another nook. It has the architectural equivalent of an 8 x 8 beam to support the loft beams in a log cabin.
