This wood spirit face was carved in a butternut log. The grain of the wood
outlined most of this carving. Lines on the face, nose and beard were all
outlined very well by the wood grain. I also liked how the edges
of the brown wood met the white sap wood with interesting patterns. The
carving measures 22 inches high, 8 inshed wide and almost 4 inches thick. |
